About the Site
- The website was written to WC3 xHTML 1.0(external link) and CSS(external link) standards
- ASP code is used to process the contact and booking forms, emailing the results direct to Caledonian Seaplanes.
- Javascript form validation is used when submitting forms, detecting and highlighting the ommision of a required contact detail or delivery date.
- The Gallery page uses Flash to generate thumbnails and provide transition effects when opening and switching between large images.
- To avoid additional spam, contact email addresses don't appear on the website. Instead users enter their enquiries on a single page, one button form which are emailed to the site owner who simply responds to the email address provided (similar to the contact form on my own contact page). From this point, both parties correspond as normal.
